- Relying on the national state law on the seas and to the operative laws of the general directorate of ports.
- And to the proceedings for the meeting that was committed on 28/01/2008.
- And on the requirements of the public interest.
The following procedures are taken on the entrance and departure of vessels,carriers and fishing boats from or to the Syrian ports from the date 01/02/2008 due to :
1- The declaration of every vessel or carrier ( vessel name_flag_call sign_position_course_speed_notice time) before entering the Syrian Territorial Waters to the Tartous radio that's for the vessels arriving to both (Tartous_Arwad) as first priority,and in case of communication failure;directly call the intended port(Tartous-Arwad) as second priority.
And for Banias port,the direct contact with Banias port as first priority,and in case of communication failure the call of Tartous port radio as second priority.
As for Lattakia port the declaration of the vessel would be in the same way shown above there for the call of Lattakia radio as first priority and in case of communication failure the direct call of Lattakia port as second priority.
2- And for fishing boats the declaration of every boat(boat name_boat number and port of register_owners name_boat course_boat speed_notice time) before entering the territorial waters to Lattakia radio as first priority and in case of communication failure the direct call of Lattakia port as second priority.
3- All vessels,carriers and fishing boats are banned to enter or depart to and from of the port only from the ports marine soperation under taking all the legal procedures on the violaters.
- The general director of the general directorate of ports hopes from all to obligate with the above instructions.
